Death Notice
"Peter J. Hettinger, 81, lifelong resident of North Aurora, died last night at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital after a short illness. He was born at North Aurora May 27, 1870 and had farmed there all of his adult life.
Mr. Hettinger is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Anna Allen and Miss Mary Hettinger of North Aurora, seven sons and one foster son, William P. and John A. of Aurora, Francis J. of Marywood, Fred J., J. Edward and Henry C. of North Aurora, C.P.O. George P. U.S.N. and Alois Theis of North Aurora. One sister, Miss Catherine Hettinger, also survives. He also leaves 28 grandchildren and six great grand children.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine and one son who died in infancy.
Funeral services will be held from Daleiden Mortuary Monday morning at 9:30 and at Annunciation Church, Marywood, at 10 o'clock.
Friends may call at the mortuary at any time after 4 p.m. Saturday.

He is survived by seven sons, William P., John A., of Aurora, Francis J. of Marywood, Fred J., J. Edward, Henry C., of North Aurora, C.P.O. George P., U.S.N.; one foster son, Alois Theis of North Aurora; two daughters, Mrs. Anna Allen and Miss Mary Hettinger of North Aurora, one sister, Miss Catherine Hettinger; 28 grandchildren; six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine, and one son in infancy. Funeral from Daleiden mortuary, Monday morning at 9:30, to Annunciation church at 10 o'clock. Rev. Lawrence Riebenthaler, O.S.B., will officiate., with interment in Marywood cemetery. Friends may call at Daleiden's after 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon."
