Anna attended Annunciation Church in Marywood. Se was a member of the Mother's Club and Gold Star Mothers and volunteered at the Sacred Heart Seminary.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Provost of North Aurora; 10 grandchildren, Theodore (Jane) Provost of Batavia, William Provost of Madison, Wisconsin, Daniel Provost of Batavia, Richard Provost of Batavia, Jodene Provost of South Elgin, James Allen Jr. of Arizona, Lucille (Lance) Greenelsh of Garden Grove, California, Katherine (Robert) Kingsbury of Costa Mesa, California, Margaret (Joseph) Aseltine of Garden Grove, California, Nadine (David) Draper of Las Vegas, Nevada; three brothers, Francis (Helen) Hettinger, Sr. of Aurora, George (Ellen) Hettinger, Dr. of Batavia and Alois (Mary) Theis of Aurora; one sister Mary (George) Mesaros of Sun City, Arizona; 17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Peter and Katherine (Grommes) Hettinger, her husband Odin Allen: two sons, James Thomas Allen and Paul Theodore Allen: five brothers, William Hettinger, Fred Hettinger, Edward Hettinger, John Hettinger and Henry Hettinger.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 26, 1996 at 9:30 a.m. at the Daleiden Lake Street Mortuary to Annunciation Church at 10 a.m., Fr. Mario Pedi, O.S.B. will officiate with interment in Marywood Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m. with a liturgical wake service at 3:30 p.m. at the Daleiden Lake Street Mortuary, 220 N. Lake St. Aurora 898-8634"
