Barbara was born Charlotte Corkhill her biological parents were Charles and Helen Corkhill
In 1928 Charlotte was in the Rockford Children's home with her siblings while her mother was recovering form TB when the children were returned she came up missing I don't know what was said or done from that time until a teacher at the home had adopted her in 1941. Her adopted parents were Floyd and Nora Anderson and they lived and raised her as Barbara Anderson in Belvidere, IL
