There is much confusion as to what happened to Charles. His brother Bob says he died in 1929. His other brothers thought he like his sister Charlotte was adopted out while at the Rockford children's home in 1928. I have Found a birth certificate but no death record for him. My opinion is he was like his sister "adopted" while at the children's home in Rockford. Family efforts to locate both of them were in vain. Charlotte aka Barbara found us, Charles did not. He would be 84 (2012) if he is still alive. I wonder if he were "adopted" if he in fact ever knew he was adopted. Either way after all these years I think it appropriate to memorialize him here. I over heard more than once the brothers talking of him and about how they had searched, now they are all gone and if in 1929 or much later Charles also is gone at least to the family that lost him. But perhaps now they are reunited...
