Miss Velma Caroline White, 53, of Route 1, Magee (Old Hickory Road), died Jan. 4, 1972, at Simpson General Hospital, Mendenhall, after a two-month illness.
Graveside funeral rites were conducted Wednesday and interment followed at Sharon Cemetery. The Rev. James Richardson and the Rev. Ted Mangum officiated.
Mims Mitchell Funeral Home of Magee was in charge of arrangements.
Born Sept. 26, 1918, she was a native of Simpson County.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Margaret White, Magee; a brother, Vernon (Verner) White, Magee; and two sisters, Mrs. Eula Hughes and Mrs. Myrtle Kennedy, both of Magee.
