Mr. Taylor passed away when I was five months old but I remember my mother speaking of him several times. I wish I could have known this man that was so well spoken of. I remember hearing that he was a soft-spoken man, quiet mostly, yet stern. He was the type of man that stood for what he believed in and believed what he stood for. He was remembered as a hard worker, caring deeply for his family and provided for his wife and children the best he could.
He was also remembered as an honest man never shunning others.
Those are wonderful qualities of a man for his time and for now.
At his passing he left behind his wife, Mary Rentz Taylor and His children that loved and adored him. His children are Mable Horne, Viola Williford, Margaret Hill, Ruby Kennedy, Tillman, Clarence and Walter Taylor.
