Edward Francis Gee was the son of Rev Alexander Gee (1828-1896) and Ann (Artley) Gee (1838-1914). Edward married Mabel Melvina Gee on 17 Aug 1892 at Imlay City, Shiawassee County, Michigan; the two were 2nd cousins. Edward's father, the Rev Alexander Gee, performed the marriage. Five children were born of their marriage: Edward Artley Gee (1893-1957), Wendell Philip Gee (1895-1960), Russell Lowell Gee (1897-1965), Frances Martha (Gee) Laing (1901-1932), and Florence Mary (Gee) Boysen (1905-1987).
