Waldoboro, Sept. 15 - Alfred Waltz 78, who was for 25 years employed by the Colonial Oil Company in Portland, died late Wednesday night at his home at Gross Neck, following a long illness. He was a native of this town and he leaves a wife, Mrs. Ida Waltz, and a brother, Alden. For several years Mr. and Mrs. Waltz were engaged in the manufacture of braided rugs, some of them of exceptionally large size. He did the braiding and she did the sewing. Funeral services will be conducted at the home Sunday at 2 p.m., the Rev. Robert Sheaff officiating, and burial will be in the German Prostestant Cemetery.
