ROSALYNNE McCLAM ATKINSON
LYNCHBURG — Rosalynne McClam Atkinson, 73, beloved wife of Bobby Wayne Atkinson for 55 years, died Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach.
Born in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late George Davis McClam and Mattie Stewart McClam. Mrs. Atkinson was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Lynchburg.
Surviving are her husband of Lynchburg; one daughter, Vivian Atkinson Brogdon of Sumter; two grandchildren, Katherine Stewart Brogdon of Clemson and Edward DuBose "Bo" Brogdon Jr. of Sumter; and two sisters, Vivian McClam Hudgins and Doris McClam Hof (Julius).
She was preceded in death by three brothers, George Davis McClam Jr., Richard Charles McClam and Jack Stewart McClam; two sisters, Catherine McClam and Virginia McClam Summers; and son-in-law, Edward DuBose "Bosie" Brogdon.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Tabernacle Campground Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. William H. "Rusty" Wilson III officiating.
The family will receive friends at the home.
