Hart, Serepta (9 JAN 1837 - 17 NOV 1921)

Serepta Allen was born in Castleton, Ontario, Canada, Jan. 9, 1837, where she grew to womanhood, and was united in marriage to Mr. Charles W. Hart in 1854. Eight children were born to this union, of whom her husband, daughter, and four sons have preceded her to the Great Beyond.

Deceased was a member of the Methodist Church, being converted in early girlhood. She was a kind and loving mother, and before ill health intervened was a cheerful and considerate neighbor. Five years ago she came to Wisconsin to make her home with her sons, and was at the home of her son, George W. Hart, at the time of her death, which came peacefully the early morning of Nov. 17, 1921, at the age of 84 years, 10 months and 9 days. She is survived by three sons, Norman and George W. of Humbird, and Fred of Granton, besides a large number of grandchildren and a host of friends who mourn her death.

The funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon at 1:30, Rev. D. C. Elmer officiating. Interment was in the Mentor Cemetery.
