Last Rites Held November 19 For Mrs. D. P. Martin

Funeral services for Mrs. D. P. Martin, 71, who died at her home on Route 3, Winnfield, at 8:30 a.m., Tuesday morning, November 18, were held at the Couley Church at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, November 19, with the Rev. Shows of Sardis officiating. Burial was in the Double Church Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Mrs. Martin had been a resident of this area for many years. She was a member of the Baptist Church and was well known in Winn Parish. She had been in ill health for some time.

She is survived by her widower, D. P. Martin; two sons, Eddie Martin of Winnfield, Rt. 3, and Asa Martin of Winnfield; three daughters, Mrs. Richard Briley of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Bryan Kelley of Atlanta, Rt. 1, and Mrs. Walter Everette of Alexandria; one brother, Monroe Teddlie of Montgomery; and five sisters, Mrs. W. J. Bice of Calvin, Miss Ada Teddlie of Montgomery, Mrs. Claude Worsham of Montgomery, Mrs. Homer Drewett of Montgomery. Mrs. Martin is also survived by 12 grandchildren.
