BUCKLAND, Sept. 7 - Mrs Minnie (Wells) Tower, 84, died this morning at her home on Upper street following a long illness. She was born in Ashfield May 14, 1869, daughter of Austin S Wells and Sarah Townsend Wells. She was a member of North Adams Methodist Church and the Ladies Club of Buckland. Her first marriage was to Mark Burdick, who died in 1928. Mrs Tower was married to George Tower in 1934. Besides her husband she leaves four sons, Herman W Burdick of Greenfield, Kenneth E of Buckland, Wesley M of Cambridge N.Y. and Wayne A Burdick; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; a sister Mrs Sara Greer of North Adams; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be in the Mary Lyon Church Wednesday at 2.30. Burial will be in Buckland Center Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in charge of Smith Funeral Home Shelburne Falls.

Bearers were Charles Buchewiz of Greenfield, Norman Spencer, Ralph Wells and Enoch Wells all of Buckland. Burial was in Buckland Center Cemetery.
