Mr. Clinton Hood, 83, died on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at Savannah Specialty Care Center.
Born in Burke County, Mr. Hood had lived in Savannah since 1942. He retired from Certain-Teed Corporation after 32 years as a maintenance mechanic and was a member of the Ellabell Church of God.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Marie Cobb Hood of Savannah; children, Lane Hood Gass and her husband, Bill, Frenedra Diane Hood and Thomas Lamar Hood, all of Holly Hill, Fla., Estella Nelson of Pooler and Janet Utley and her husband, Don of Savannah; grandchildren; Valerie D. Storey, Chelsea M. Utley, Cameron Utley, Kristal N. Moorman, B. J. Gass, Jr., Diane J. Hood, Brittany Hood and Thomas Hood, Jr.; two great-grandchildren; sister, Louise Turner of Hazlehurst; brother, James Hood of Faulkville, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6:00-9:00 p.m., Friday, July 25 at the funeral home.
Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 26 in the chapel of the funeral home.
Graveside Service: 2:30 p.m., Saturday at Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
