Frank J. Hecht worked as a fisherman until he joined the City of Biloxi as a policeman and later fireman. Mr. Hecht served with the Biloxi Police Department furing the J.J. Kennedy and first R. Hart Chinn mayoral admnistrations. Frank joined the Biloxi Fire Department in 1932 and was appointed assistant Fire Chief of the Biloxi Fire Department in July 1953 by Mayor Laz Quave (1910-1985).
