David E.E. LeRoy was the youngest child of George Simon and Asenath (Amelia) (Bean) LeRoy. David lived on Allumette Island in Canada, where he worked in the lumber business with his family. He moved his family to Iron River, Michigan, then down to Wisconsin, where they took a train to Seattle, Washington. The family lived a time in Aberdeen and then David, with Bridget moved to Richmond Beach, where he owned a hotel until he passed away in 1914.
