Elk City, OK library: Obit's box - found an item from newspaper. It stated that W. A.'s son, W. W. had gone somewhere in Texas and gotten into some kind of trouble. W. A. went after him and they both got shot. Stands to reason because of the death dates on headstones. Story was also verified by keeper of Carter Cemetery records. Walter's wife, Hattie Jane Anderson Sutton went by train and got the bodies and brought them back to Oklahoma.
