Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Cecil Price, age 83, of Pooler, GA, on Sunday, May 08, 2011, at The Place at Pooler in Pooler, GA after an extended illness.
Funeral services are Tuesday, May 10th, at 11 AM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Pastor Vera Daniels officiating. Interment will be in the Bithynia Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery near Blundale, GA. The family will receive friends at Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors Tuesday morning from 10 AM until service time. Pallbearers are Grandsons.
Mr. Price was a native of Emanuel County, served in the Merchant Marines, was a retired truck driver with Akers Trucking Co and a member of Garden City Primitive Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Robert and Zonia Jones Price. Survivors include: his wife, Janet Rogers Price of Pooler;one sister: Sara Haley of Dublin, GA.
