He arrived in the United States on 14 Oct 1882 with his mother and younger siblings at the Castle Garden point of entry.
He never married, but may have fathered two children: Louis, Jr. b. 1904 and Frederick, b. 1916. (These boys may also be children of his parents or sister.) He lived with his parents and sister Josephine his entire life.
He died in the Delaware State Welfare Home of pneumonia at age 75.
