Ruth A. Blevins, 86, of South Canaan, died peacefully at home early Monday morning. Born on January 17, 1924 in South Canaan, where she resided most of her life, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Lillian Yarrington Arnold. She was a graduate of Waymart High School and Wayne Commercial School in Honesdale. Prior to retirement she worked at the Waymart Knitwear and also Katz's in Honesdale. She was very fond of her cats and would often be seen taking walks with them following close behind. She also enjoyed playing the piano and especially loved spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edmund and Mortimer, and a sister, Flora Arnold.
