When the 1860 Census was taken, Judson Aiken was living at Reading in Hillsdale County, Michigan with his father, Oliver Aiken, and four siblings. Oliver worked as a day laborer. There was no mother listed in the home and Oliver's martial status was not mentioned. By 1920, Judson was a widower and a resident of the Lenawee County poor house. He died there at the age of seventy-two.
