Augustine Webster was the son of Moses Webster (25 MAY 1743 (Lebanon, Connecticut) - 28 JAN 1815 (Hillsdale, Columbia Co New York) and Elizabeth Bennett (07 SEP 1747 (Preston, New London, Connecticut) - 18 OCT 1825 (Chester, Meigs Co Ohio). He resided in Mansfield, Connecticut, and moved to Columbia Co New York, where he married Mary Tyler (28 JUN 1775 (Columbia Co New York) - 17 MAR 1858 Coolville, Athens Co Ohio)on 20 OCT 1793. In about 1810, he and his family moved to Washington Co Ohio, then Meigs Co Ohio. Augustine was a member of the Grand Jury at Athens, Athens Co Ohio in 1811 and a farmer. His children were: Huldah (1794-1794), Ebenezer Tyler (1795-1877), Mary (1797-1835), Daniel Bromley (1799-1864), Isaac Augustine (1801-1865), George Kinney (1803-1878), Samantha (1805-1850), Clarissa (1807-1877), Melissa (1809-1883), and Moses Augustine (1811-1885), Elizabeth "Betsey" (1813-1862), Wesley (1814-1895) and Abram (Abraham) Augustine (1817-1894). Augustine Webster is the third great grandson of Connecticut Governor John Webster. Son, George Kinney, and some of his family members are also buried in this cemetery.
