From the 2/9/1877 Van Wert, Ohio, Bulletin, edited due to length: "Rev. Ebenezer T. Webster was born in southeastern New York, near the Connecticut line, December 27th, 1795. He was the second of thirteen children, the oldest of whom died at about one year of age, while the others all reached middle life, and the seven brothers all felt the infirmities of years, four of whom still live. He was converted and united with the church in the State of New York, but in 1810, he reemoved with his father's family to Meigs county, Ohio, where he had no relgious association...He was licensed to preach in 1820...He traveled two years in Indiana, and was then appointed to St. Louis circuit, Missouri...In the fall of 1824 he was married to Sarah S. Lane, with whom he has lived over fifty-two years...In 1841, he located and settled on a farm in Fayette county, Ohio, where he lived eleven years, when he removed to Richwood, Union county, to a farm, where he remained until he came to Van Wert, in 1870....He was laid to rest January 18, 1877, in the new cemetery."
