Mac Ballew age 81, died Monday, June 18, 2012. He was the son of the late Harold M. & Mamie Sheppard Ballew and was born in Greenville, SC.

Mac was preceded in death by his brother, Lt. Colonel (Retired) Bobby G Ballew. He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Louise Collins Ballew, three children, Mary Allison (Frank) Mullis, Hal (Sabrina) Ballew and Leslie Bloomberg, four grandchildren, Will and Sam Ballew, and Reece and Riley Bloomberg.

Mac was a 1953 graduate of Clemson University where majored in the textile manufacturing. He was employed by Milliken Industries and later by American Cyanamid after which he retired after twenty years of service.

Funeral services will be held on June 21, 2012 at 11:30 AM, Thursday morning with a visitation beginning at 11:00 AM in the Sanctuary of the Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church. Services will be conducted by the Reverend Gerald Munday. Burial will follow in Barrancas National Cemetery at 1:15 PM.
