_______________Ezekiel 37:13/14________________
And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,
And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the Lord have spoken it, and performed it, saith the Lord.

Her neighbors and friends and all who ever knew her testify as to her devotion to God, love for her family, kindness, honesty and integrity and her word was considered as her bond, for she belived the Word of God that say's "But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation." James 5:12

She was born in Her Grandad's Family Farm home Between Tolbert Texas and Farmers Valley Texas

She was married to Bethel Bryant Mayo. 22 Mar 1934 in Pampa Texas they divorced in 1938 then remarried 06 Jul 1940 in Jackson Co., Oklahoma

There is so much that could be said about my mother , where to start is the problem, She was a concert Pianist who decided love was more important than wealth or anything else in life with the exception of God.She taught us that God was our Father and my Dad was my Dad, she taught us to call no man Father for God in Heaven was our Father, she read the Bible to her Children daily, she taught us to pray daily, My favorite tune she played on the piano was "With The Angels in Heaven"
She worked hard daily taking care of the family, never let anyone tell you she was just a homemaker, let me assure you that is the hardest job in the world, cleaning house, washing clothes by hand, getting up at 4:30 am to start the day cooking three meals, ironing all the clothes, planting a garden and caring for it, canning all the food, making soap from scratch, i don't have enough room to list all the chores of raising 5 son's, from feeding the chickens to gathering eggs, to killing chickens and preparing them to eat- maybe you get the idea.

She was one of those practical Christians who made everything else secondary to Christianity. One who was not ashamed of the Christian religion. She conversed freely with her children upon the subject of death requesting them to meet her in heaven. The grave had no terrors to her. She felt that its sting had been taken away by Jesus. She was not mortality's slave. She felt that death was but the stepping stone to life and immortality with God , the anti-chamber to that house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. In all the various relations of life she sustained herself with such propriety that she was beloved by all who knew her. But she has gone to rest; weep not as those who have no hope. Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord.

We can now say, sleep on dear mother, sweetly sleep, till the last trump shall summon you and the Lord shall take you to bright mansions of eternal rest

She was The Greatest mother a child could ever have,
LIVING FOR GOD, PRAISING THE NAME OF JESUS WAS HER GREATEST PLEASURE,

Her Famous Words "Children Follow after Jesus"

Loving her husband and children with all her heart
she showed them love, every minute of every day, every second of every hour, I never heard one single curse word nor an unkind word come from her lip's and I should know for I spent my life with her, for you see she was my mother:

Their children are:
James Critt Mayo
Wilson Bryant Mayo
John Arthur Mayo
Kelly Mack Mayo
Richard Gregory Mayo

Memorial Maintained by her son
