Mabel was born the ninth child of Harry T and Mathilda Crabb at their homestead north of Genoa Colorado. It was there she grew to womanhood and on November 21, 1935 became the bride of William Leroy "Roy" Ludwig. Their marriage was blessed with five sons and a daughter.
Along with being a mother, Mabel enjoyed being a homemaker, a member of the Nathaniel Luthern Church of Bruce, Wisconsin and a lifetime member of the Genoa chapter of the American Leigion Auxiliary Post #31.
Mabel is survived by her husband Roy and her children, two sisters and one brother and preceeded in death by her parents and a sister, Hazel Templeton, and brothers, Glenwood "Glen" Crabb, Clayton "Jack" Crabb, George Crabb, Harold "Andy" Crabb, Roy "Mel" Crabb and Harry Crabb Jr.
