Neill Sorensen
Visitation for Neill Sorensen will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 30, at Williams-Woodward Funeral Home, 820 Pine St. (at Route 59), West Chicago. Born Oct. 8, 1954, in Geneva, Ill., he died suddenly July 25, 2010, of natural causes. Neill spent most of his life in West Chicago. A true outdoorsman, Neill fished and canoed many of the local lakes and rivers. He loved camping and could be found at the annual "TEVAfest" in Wisconsin. The Illinois Prairie Path was a favorite destination for daily bike rides. Neill was an avid reader, model builder and accomplished wood worker. He was a sincere friend and will be missed by all. Neill continues to give through his donations to the Gift of Life. A loving husband and proud father, Neill leaves behind his dear wife, Margaret (nee Zimmerman); his devoted son, Martin; his precious brother and sister, Carl E. (Jane) and Holly; father-in-law, William Zimmerman; many cherished brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Neill was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Sorensen and C. Noreen (Sorensen) Levey; a brother, Noel; and a sister, Sherry. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family appreciated.
