KAKY KATHLEEN POUNDERS MOODY, age 85, passed from this life on October 3, 2008. Kaky was born in Florence, Alabama on September 4, 1923. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Emma Pounders and by her beloved husband James "Buddy" Moody. She is survived by her son: Danny Moody; grandson: Scott Moody; great grandson: Joshua Moody, all of San Diego, CA Kaky is also survived by her brother; James Pounders, of Florence, AL; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Kaky was active for many years in the American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary, and served in numerous positions through the years including President of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was an active member of the La Boutique Des Huit Chapeaux Quarante Femmes. Kaky had many lifetime friends and was known for her great spirit and generous heart. She was a gracious "Southern Belle" who will be missed greatly by all who knew her. Visitation will be held 1:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 2008 at Pat H. Foley & Co. Graveside Services will be 9:00 a.m. Monday, October 6th at Houston National Cemetery.
