Mrs. Albert Maertz, 80, of Reedsville, died Sunday at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. John and St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Reedsville, the Rev. Harvey Heckendorf officiating. Burial will be in Westside Church Cemetery, Reedsville.

Mrs. Maertz was born Feb. 2, 1885, in the Town of Maple Grove, daughter of the late Fredrick and Alvina Fischer Brandt. She was married to Mr. Maertz Jan. 29, 1902, at St. John and St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church. The couple farmed in the town of Maple Grove until 1864, moving to Reedsville.

Surviving are the husband, a son, Harold, of Manitowoc and two sisters, Mrs. Louis Schley, of Maribel and Mrs. Frieda Endries, of Brillion. Two sisters, a son and grandson preceded her in death.

Friends may call at Reedsville Funeral Home until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday and then at the church.
