EDWIN LAU

Edwin L. Lau, age 89, of Rivers Bend Nursing Center in Manitowoc, formerly of
Reedsville, died on Monday, March 28, 2005.
He was born on Aug. 8, 1915 in the town of Rockland, son of the late Karl and
Anna (Dallmann) Lau. He married Germaine Riederer on Oct. 24, 1940 in Manitowoc.
Edwin farmed in the town of Rockland and also worked for the town of Rockland,
until his retirement. He was a member of St. John St. James Lutheran Church in
Reedsville, the Collins Volunteer Fire Department and the Collins Senior
Citizens.
Survivors include his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Rose Ahrens of Manitowoc;
Lydia and Ed Paul of Manitowoc; Esther and Joe Krejcarek of Janesville; Jeanette
Novak of Reedsville; and Ray Zaruba of Maribel; and many nieces, nephews and other
relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife: Germaine on June 4,
1993; three brothers: Warden, Clarence and Roy; and two sisters: Gertrude Loose
and Rufina Loose.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 31 at 3 p.m. at St. John St. James
Lutheran Church in Reedsville. The Rev. Timothy L. Nommensen will officiate. Burial
will be in the Westside Cemetery, Reedsville.
Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
The Wieting Funeral Home in Reedsville is assisting the family with arrangements.
