Peter R. Link, age 67, of 426 Mensha Street, Reedsville, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Aurora Medical Center, Manitowoc County. Peter was born on March 8, 1944 in Green Bay, son of the late William and Shirley (Probst) Link. Peter graduated from Reedsville High School, class of 1962. On June 17, 1957 he married Val Jean Bubolz at St. John St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville. Peter enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
Peter is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Val Jean of Reedsville; their dog, Coco; in-laws, Doris (Henry) Behnke, Joanne Bubolz, Raymond (Suzanne) Bubolz, all of Reedsville; godchildren, Joan (Tim) Sheahan, Doug (Kelly) Bubolz, both of Reedsville, Michael (Dee) Schuering, Florida and Adam (fiance, Melissa) Bubolz of Colliins; nieces, nephews, step nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Peter was preceded in death by one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Mary Ann Link, a father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond and Helen Bubolz; one brother-in-law. Donald Bubolz and a niece, Brenda Vanden Avond.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 22, at St. John St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville. Officiating at the service were the Rev. Timothy Nommensen with burial following at Westside Cemetery, Reedsville. Wieting Funeral Home, Reedsville, assisted the Link family. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville are appreciated.
