Milton A. Lau, age 79
, of 219 Birch Lane, Reedsville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

He was born Feb. 25, 1926, in the town of Rockland, son of the later Herman and Huldina (Behnke) Lau. He married Dorcella Behnke on Sept. 16, 1950 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion. They farmed in the town of Rockland until they moved to Reedsville in 1977. He retired from Ariens Company in 1991 and worked part-time at Dean Foods and Lakeside Packing Company after his retirement. He served on the church council at St. John-St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville, where he was a lifetime member. Milton enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed watching the Brewers.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Dorcella; two sons and daughters-in-law: Larry (Nancy) Lau, Huntley, Ill.; Rick (Shirley) Lau, Reedsville; two daughters and son-in-law: Rhonda (Marcus) Behnke, Brillion; and Sheri Lau, Manitowoc. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Jennifer (John) Griffith, New Franken;
Christine (Mark) Lambert, Collins; Kevin (Jennifer) Lau, Collins; Michelle Lau, Reedsville; Jeffrey (Amanda) Behnke, Whitelaw; Marsha (Nathan) Schwahn, Denmark; Shawn Behnke, Brillion; Mindy Behnke, Brillion; three great-grandchildren: Makena Griffith, Madalyn Lambert, Mason Wenzel. Other survivors include four sisters-in-law: Loretta Krepline, Mernabelle Behnke, Zapora Abel and Deloris Behnke and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2005 at St. John-St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville, with the Rev. Timothy Nommensen officiating. Burial will be in the Westside Cemetery, Reedsville.
Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home in Reedsville on Friday, (TODAY), July 1, 2005 from 5-8 p.m. and then at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
