Iris Fern Flowers died peacefully on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Mainland Center Hospital, at the age of 85. She was born on April 15, 1927, in Buna, Texas, to Arcay and Lillie Waters. She was a very sweet loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who lived with a strong faith in God. Iris was a woman ahead of her time, having acquired her Real Estate Broker's license in the early 1950's and working for nearly 40 years in the real estate business.
In addition to her parents, Iris is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Wallace Dan Flowers; her sons, Wallace Dan Flowers, Jr. and Bill Kenneth Flowers; her brothers, Raymond Walters, Milton Walters; and sister, Norma Jean Eddy.
