Alice Larsen Nielson, age 91, our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend, passed away July 27, 2004 at the Rocky Mountain Care Center in West Valley City, Utah. Mom was born on April 16, 1913 in Spring City, UT to Arthur Leroy Larsen and Sarah Downard Nielson. They made their home in Mt. Pleasant, UT for 64 years until dad died on November 6, 1997. Mom worked most of her life as a housewife and loving caring mother for her three children, making many personal sacrifices when times were not good. She was an excellent cook, housekeeper and seamstress. Mom loved to hike, camp, go to the desert and fishing in the mountains. In later years she did all those things on crutches. She is survived by one daughter, Carol Elaine Nielson, West Jordan, UT; two sons, Marion Kent, West Valley City, UT; and Robert Alan, Magna, UT; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Graveside services will be Saturday, July 31, 2004 at 12:00 noon in the Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery.
