First child of John and Dorothy, brother of Carol, Nancy,Deborah and Robert (Bob). Husband of Shirley father of John Anthony and Dawn Marie∼Don Howard Standley went home to be with Jesus on September 7, 2006. Don was born March 9, 1938 in Ramona, Oklahoma to John and Dorothy Standley. He worked as the Food Service Manager for Sodexho Campus Dining at Oklahoma Christian University. Don treasured spending time with his family, he loved a great joke, enjoyed cooking and adored his dogs. He is survived by his wife, Shirley, of the home, 4 sons; John and wife Stephanie Standley, Mark Standley, Larry and wife Patti James, Rusty and wife Anne James, and 2 daughters; Dawn Marie Standley, Cheree' and husband Gary Russell; his mother, Dorothy Standley; his brother, Bob Standley and 3 sisters; Nancy Fausset, Debbie VanDeburgh and Cindy Oswald; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, John and his sister, Carol. We rejoice that Don's new home is in Heaven but we will greatly miss talking, laughing and loving our precious one. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday September 11, 2006 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel.
