Mrs. Ruby C. Chatham, age 83, of Chatham, died in Glenwood Hospital in West Monroe, after a long illness. Funeral services were held at the Brooklyn Methodist Church near Chatman with Rev. Garret & Rev. Otis Smith conducting. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include six sons, Rutherford, Doyal, Royal Chatham all of West Monroe. J.D. Chatham of Eros & LeRoy & Bert Chatham both of Chatham. Two daughters Mrs. Beulah Osbon & Mrs. Ethel Works both of West Monroe. One sister Mrs. Mertie Barnes of West Monroe. 35 grandchildren also survive.
Pallbearers were Howard, Lloyd, Richard Chatham, James Osbon, Richard Works, & Bill Osbon.
