Mrs. Anna N. Boughton

Services will be at 1:30 p.m.. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home for Mrs. Anna N. Boughton, 85, 7220 Asbury Drive. She died Sunday, Dec. 9, at a Topeka hospital.

Mrs. Boughton was a home economics teacher, and taught at Carbondale, Neosho Rapids and Quenemo before she retired.

She was born Sept. 12, 1899, at Auburn, Neb., the daughter of James R. and Grace Baird Cooper. She was graduated from Kansas State Teachers College at Emporia in 1925. She moved from Emporia to Lyndon in 1958, and to Topeka in March 1980.

She was married to Tracy V. Boughton May 22, 1929. He died Sept. 14, 1984.

Suriviors include three sons, Kenneth Boughton, Topeka, Maurice Boughton, Tacoma, Wash., and Paul Boughton, St. Charles, Mo.; a brother, Dwight H. Cooper, Lakeside, Calif.; three sisters, Catherine Cooper, Helen Cooper and Lois Garwood, all of Laguna Hills, Calif.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia. Memorial contributions may be made to Aldersgate Village, 7220 Asbury Drive, 66614.
