Former Grants Pass resident Boneta Marie Youngblood, 91, of Vancouver, Wash., died Saturday, March 9, 1996, at her home.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Lundberg's L.B. Hall Funeral Home, with the Rev. Walt Ferris of the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial is at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.

Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory in care of Lundberg's.

She was born Jan. 13, 1905, in Ritzville, Wash. She moved to Grants Pass at age 19 and lived here for 71 years before ill health necessitated the move to Vancouver. She worked for Washington Power (then known as California Pacific Utilities) for 29 years until her retirement in 1970.

Youngblood was a member of the First Baptist Church, longtime treasurer of the Grants Pass Breakfast Club and a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Buehner of Vancouver, Wash.; a sister, Zelma Kostal of Spokane; three grandchildren, Lori McLain of Timber, Paula Hawkins of Portland and Amy Hendricks of Vancouver, Wash.; and three great-grandchildren.

Her mother was Millie D. Scott Born abt 1880 Iowa died Feb 1962 Spokane county Wash. No burial record, only short obit.
