Christine Kuhn Chilton Times January 29, 1921

The death of Mrs. William Kuhn which occurred at the home of her son-in-law, Aug. Ziegan, in the town of Stockbridge on Wednesday morning, removes from the community another of the early settlers of this section. Mrs. Kuhn had been in her usual good health until some three weeks ago when she suffered a stroke of paralysis and gradually failed until death came to relieve her of her suffering.
Christine Kuepper, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kuepper, was born in the town of Calumet, Fond du Lac County, July 22, 1845. She remained at home with her parents until she was married on Feb. 25, 1865, to William Kuhn and they located on Mr. Kuhn's farm on the town line in South Stockbridge, remaining there until some fifteen years ago when they disposed of their property and made their home with their son-in-law, Aug. Ziegan. Her husband died May 5, 1905. Mrs. Kuhn was widely known through the western section of the county and in the neighborhood of Calumet. She was also known to many people of Chilton for over fifty years ago her parents resided in this city. She was a kind and loving wife, and mother, a good neighbor and true friend, one whose death is regretted by all who knew her.
She is survived by a son, Charles Kuhn of Sherwood and six daughters, Mrs. Aug. Warm of Milwaukee, Mrs. Charles Ziegan, Mrs. John Miller of Gravesville, Mrs. Frank Teuber of New Holstein, Mrs. Jos. Scholz and Mrs. August Ziegan of the town of Stockbridge. She is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held this Saturday, from the house and from the Reformed church in this city, Rev. W. A Arpke officiating with interment in Breed cemetery.
