Elthora Moulton Underwood, 80, passed away Fri., July 23, 2004 after a courageous battle with lymphoma. She was born Dec. 18, 1923 in Fillmore, Utah to Bacil Dean and Eldra (Eldora) Day Moulton. She spent her youth in Castella and Springville. She married the love of her life, Ernal C. Underwood, August 26, 1941. They would have celebrated their 63rd anniversary next month. They solemnized their marriage in the Salt Lake Temple on June 19, 1964. They have lived in Long Beach and San Francisco, California, and Thistle, Spanish Fork, Salt Lake, Springville, and Salem, UT. She spent her life loving, teaching, and being an example to her children, grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and others she came in contact with. She completed many callings from her Father in Heaven, which include: Primary, Scouts, Relief Society, being a temple worker, and serving a temple mission with her husband to New Zealand, which she described as one of the greatest times of her life. Elthora loved her work with the American Legion and the DUP. She was proud of her contribution in restoring the little cabin at Salem Pond. She loved quilting, sewing, crocheting, and most other crafts. She and Ernal loved traveling around the country and wintering in Arizona. She will be remembered by her love and devotion to her husband, family, and friends; her courageous and determined battle with cancer; her perpetually positive attitude toward life; her unwavering belief in the gospel of Jesus Christ; her inner joy in her families correct choices and accomplishments; and especially her love of kisses and hugs. She is survived by her husband, Ernal of Salem; two sons, Roger (Kathy) Underwood of Bothel, Washington and Bill (Wendy) Underwood of Bluffdale, Utah; daughter, Jeanette (Martin) Munn of Springville, Utah; son-in-law, Evron (Kathleen) Knorr of Salt Lake City, Utah; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Arlo Lavere (Ekio) Moulton and sister, Ferl Gratz. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Dean Moulton, and daughter, Helen Loraine Knorr. Funeral services held Sat., July 31, 2004 in the Salem 1st Ward Chapel, 60 S. Main. Interment in the Salem City Cemetery.
