Mrs. Clifton (Athlyn) O'Connell, 65, of Reedsville, died Saturday afternoon, Oct. 25, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at Reedsville Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Reedsville. The Rev. Donald Schneider will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. O'Connell was born April 6, 1915, in the Town of Franklin, daughter of the late John Doolan and Mrs. Elizabeth Mullins Doolan. She was married to Clifton O'Connell Aug. 2, 1939, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Maple Grove. She was a graduate of Manitowoc County Normal Teacher's College and a member of St. Ann Christian Mothers of St. Mary Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joel and Ann of Two Rivers, and Keith and Bonnie of Reedsville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Frank Wilson of San Diego, Calif., and Reyne and Jim Schepper of Two Rivers; her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Doolan; five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Elizabeth and Frank Herold of Green Bay, Marge and George Gibeault and Rita and Joseph Vogel of Reedsville, Donna Schlei and Lou and Allan Raether of Manitowoc, and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father.
Friends may call at Reedsville Funeral Home, Reedsville, from 4 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Monday afternoon and Tuesday from 8 a.m. until the time of services. A parish prayer service will be held 7:30 o'clock this Monday evening followed by a St. Ann Christian Mothers Rosary at 8 o'clock.
