The former Margaret Doolan was born on the family farm, in the Township of Franklin, Manitowoc County, on Oct. 22, 1919, to John and Elizabeth Doolan. She was married to George Gibeault on March 9, 1943, at St Patrick's Catholic Church, Maple Grove. Marge resided in Milwaukee from 1943 until 1972, where she raised her three children and worked outside the home. She was proud that she worked on the guidance systems for the US manned space flights. She and George moved to Reedsville for their retirement. She had been residing in West Bend since 2007.
Marge loved cooking, baking, entertaining and traveling. She saw most of the US including Hawaii and several trips to Alaska and did a tour of Ireland. She was always proud of her Irish roots. She was a good card player and enjoyed both cribbage and sheepshead. Marge was active in the Altar society and volunteered with cooking at the annual fireman's picnic in Reedsville.
Marge is survived by her daughter, Norene Hochhaus, West Bend; her son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Julie Gibeault, Eagle River, Alaska; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Marge is also survived by her sisters, Donna Schlei and Lou Raether both of Manitowoc; sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Joe Vogel, Reedsville; and by her sisters-in-law, Charlotte Powers, Peshtigo; Adeline Holmes, Mishicot; and her brother-in-law and wife, Bernard and Clara Gibeault, Sun Prairie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George in 2001; her daughter, Janis Cichy-Johns; two sons-in-law, Thomas Hochhaus and Thomas Cichy; and two sisters, Athlyn O'Connell and Elizabeth Herold.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 30, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Timothy Brandt with entombment at Calvary Mausoleum in Manitowoc.

Margaret Ann Doolan Married in St. Patrick's, Maple Grove
Mist green gabardine fashioned the dressmaker suit worn by Miss Margaret Ann Doolan as she stood before the altar of St. Patrick's church, Maple Grove, at nine o'clock this morning, and repeated after the Rev. Francis P. Schoettl the vows which made her the bride of George A. Gibeault. Her accessories were luggage brown, and the corsage at her shoulder was of yellow roses.
Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Doolan of Reedsville, route 1, the bride was given in marriage by her father and attended by her sister, Rita Doolan. Miss Doolan wore a costume suite of RAF blue gabardine, with turf tan accessories and a corsage of pink roses. Bernard Gibeault was best man.
Dinner and supper were served at Menchal's tearoom.
Young Mr. and Mrs. Gibeault will live in Milwaukee, where the bridegroom is employed at the Kearney Treker Corp. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Aristide Gibeault, Coleman, Wis.
