Lucy Bolton Arnold

Lucy Bolton Arnold, 92, Shawnee, died Tuesday in a local hospital.
She was born Aug. 4, 1905, in Pawnee County to Albert Emer and Cora Ellen (Jackson) Carver.
She attended Pawnee High School and Oklahoma State University. She married Evert T. Bolton on Dec. 24, 1925, in Pawnee. After his death, she married Thomas Oscar Arnold on Feb. 16, 1966, in Sapulpa.
She taught school from 1923 to 1925 and owned a tailoring school in Pawnee from 1926 to 1928. She moved to Oklahoma City in 1929, to Shawnee in 1936, to Seminole in 1966, and returned to Shawnee in 1984.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Eastern Star No. 43, and United Methodist Women.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; son James E. Bolton; son-in-law Robert A. Tyler; two brothers, one sister, and stepdaughter Edna Mae Bristow.
She is survived by daughter Dorothy Tyler, Shawnee, granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Linda and Buford White, Shawnee; grandson and granddaughter-in-law Paul and Carol Ann Tyler, Shawnee; stepchildren Leonard and Bea Arnold, George and Flonetta Arnold, Bobby Arnold, Hazel Rush, and Martha Faye Kerns; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Rusty Williams officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
