Mrs. Cora Carver Dies in Shawnee
Mrs. Cora Ellen Carver, 62 1003 East Oakland, died at 10 a. m. Tuesday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. F. Bolton, 519 North Tucker.
Mrs Carver, a member of the Methodist church, came to Shawnee a year ago from Pawnee, Okla.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday at Pawnee. Burial will be in the Pawnee cemetery with Gaskill's funeral home in charge of arrangements.
Surviving her are the husband, A. E. Carver of the home address; two daughters, Mrs. Bolten and Mrs. James McGoodwin, Las Anemos, Colo., and two sons, Wayne of the home address and Ralph of Pawhuska, Okla.

OBITUARY
Cora Ellen Carver
Cora Ellen Carver was born near Springfield, Mo., May 20, 1881. She was converted and united with the Methodist church when quite a young girl where she remained a faithful member throughout her life, always taking part and assisting wherever she was needed until her health failed. She passed from death unto Life December 21, 1943, at the home of her daughter in Shawnee.
She came to Pawnee county with her parents when a young lady where she met and married A. E. Carver at 3 o'clock p. m., just 43 years ago today. To this union were born four children: Mrs. Ethel McGoodwin, Los Animas, Colo; Mrs. Lucy Bolton, Shawnee; Ralph Carver, Pawhuska; and Wayne Carver of the home, Shawnee; three grandchildren, George Roy McGoodwin, now in the service of his country, Dorothy Bolton and Peggy Carver, all of whom survive her and are in attendance today with the exception of Mrs. McGoodwin, who was unable to be present due to ill health.
She has been preceded by her parents, one sister and one brother. She leaves to mourn her passing four sisters and three brothers, other relatives and a host of friends.
She was a devoted wife and mother, ever mindful of others, never sparing her own live.
Funeral services well be held at the Methodist church in Pawnee this afternoon (Thursday) at 3 o'clock.
