James W. Crew, age 70, of Acree Road, Russell Springs, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at the Russell County Hospital. Survivors include his wife….Alma Hall Crew of Russell Springs. Six daughters survive….Patsy Wheat and Jennifer Irvin of Russell Springs, Violet Hamm of Jamestown, Debbie Thomas of Liberty, Melissa Grant of Berea, and Tammy Mondie of Dunnville. One son….James W. Crew, Jr. of Russell Springs. Two brothers survive….Ernest Crew and Adrian Crew, both of Russell Springs. Five sisters survive….Alvada Rexroat of Russell Springs, Della Luttrell of Liberty, Beth Pifer of Louisville, Maudie Hawkins of Ohio, and Ruth Claypool of Florida. Eleven grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel with burial in the Bethel Ridge Cemetery in Dunnville. Friends may call for visitation after 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown.
