VICTIM OF ACCIDENT BURIED IN ALAMEDA The funeral of Joseph Profumo who was killed by a Melrose car on July 4 was held this morning at St Joseph's Church. Profumo was run down by a car while returning from a visit to his son in Fruitvale and died soon after.

Aged Man Fatally Injured by San Leandro Electric Coach at Melrose
ALAMEDA, July 5 ---- Joseph Profumo, 70 years old, a grocer, living at 1241 Lincoln avenue, was fatally injured last night by being struck by a San Leandro electric car at Melrose. The aged man's skull was fractured. He died at Melrose hospital soon after the accident occurred. Profumo had gone out to visit his son, Michael, at Walter street and First avenue. He stepped from behind one car only to be struck by another one running in the opposite direction.
