Marian Patrick Wiseman, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away Monday, January 24, 2011, in Provo, Utah. She was 89 years old.

Marian was born December 9, 1921 in Springville, Utah, to John Hulet and Lura Ann Patrick. She was raised in Springville and graduated from high school there. After graduation, she went to LDS Business College for one year. She met Joseph Irvin Wiseman while working at Geneva Steel, and they were married March 1 7, 1 943 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Most of her married life was spent in Redding, California, where she and Irv raised their eight children. Upon retiring, they moved to Orem, Utah where she has lived until the time of her passing.

Marian was blessed with a great capacity for love, patience and kindness. Her family was her greatest joy. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church and served in many capacities. She was a gifted teacher. She was also a true-blue BYU sports fan.

Marian has been a very loving mother to her children. She is survived by: Kent (LaVerne), Craig (Karen), Annette (Bob) Morley, Gayle (Ron) Reed, Don, Douglas (Brenda), Kim Wiseman and Keri (Paul) Witte. She is also a favorite of her 30 grandchildren and 30+ great-grandchildren. Marian is also survived by her brothers Wallace and Morris Patrick and sisters Elma Evans, Erma Whitesides and Ann Nelson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her infant sister Helen, her brother John Patrick, her sister Louise Springer, and her granddaughter Sara Wiseman.

Marians family would like to thank all the loving neighbors, family, friends and caregivers who have helped her during the last few years. You have made it possible for us to enjoy her companionship for a longer time.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the Cherry Hill 7th Ward Chapel, 135 E 2000 S, Orem, Utah. Friends may call at the church from 12:30 - 1:30 pm., prior to services. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
