Dorothy N. Crawford, 87, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 10, 2012.
She was born December 22, 1924 in D'Hanis, Texas to Pete and Annie Hunnam Saathoff. She had worked at Alamo Iron Works as a billing clerk but will be remembered most for her loving and caring nature with those around her. She was most fond of being able to love and care for children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete F. & Annie Saathoff; siblings, Richard Saathoff, Ethel Lutz, Katherine Alexander, Alice Heap, Charles Saathoff and Harvey Pete Saathoff.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Warren H. Crawford Sr.; sons, "H" Crawford and wife Shirley, Pete Crawford and wife Denise; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Louise Saathoff.
The visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Rd. The Celebration of her Life will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Jason Smith officiating. The interment will follow in Lockehill Cemetery, corner of Fredericksburg Rd. and Huebner. The family would like to send a special thank you to her caregivers and friends at Silver Creek Manor for all the love and care extended to Dorothy.
