Ray Steele Whitcraft, 95, died today at Miller's Merry Manor East after one month's illness. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Lincolnville United Methodist Church.
Mr. Whitcraft was born in Wabash County Oct. 26, 1886. He married Mary Elizabeth Swaney Oct. 14, 1908. She died in 1968.
Surviving are three sons, Robert Whitcraft, Lincolnville; James Whitcraft, Marion; and Charles Whitcraft, Wabash; one daughter, Mrs. Maxine (Oren) Conrad, Akron; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Services are pending at the Hunter Funeral Home, LaFontaine.
