LENA JUANITA MILLSAPS HARLAN, 86, b. Chrome, June 19, 1887, d. Sacramento, Aug. 3, 1973.
Daughter of John Wesley and Elo Burrows Millsaps, her maternal grandparents were Rufus G. and Charlotte Hull Burrows and her paternal grandparents, George Washington (Grandpap) and Elizabeth Dunn Millsaps. Both R.G. Burrows and G.W. Millsaps were early day settlers of Colusa County and their biographies have been published in Vol. XIII, No. 1 and Vol. XV, No. 2 respectively, of Wagon Wheels.
Lena was married to Christian M. Harlan who preceded her in death as did a daughter Mattie.
Surviving her are her daughters Lucile March of Roseville, Maxine Slivoff of Santa Rosa, a sister, Hattie Asdell and grandchildren, Nitalou Drozez, David March, Lytel Steffensen, Glenn Nichols, Harlan Nichols and seven great grandchildren. - Transcribed by M.
