"Worcester:---Charles Ezra Hayner died at his home on South Hill Monday morning, September 27, at 3 o'clock from shock. He had been ill since August. Funeral rites were held from the home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Wheaton Webb of Worcester officiated and interment was in Maple Grove cemetery at Worcester. Mr. Hayner was born in Charlotteville June 2, 1869, the son of Ezra and Clarissa Ann (Mickle) Hayner. He was married to Miss Hattie Morrel at South Worcester, September 15, 1903. He moved from Charlotteville and for the past 60 years had resided on the farm where he died. He was a member of Worcester Grange. He is survived by his wife, two nieces, Mrs. Floyd Wright of Westford and Mrs. Claude Hartwell of Worcester; and one nephew, Edward Pierson of Cooperstown."
